Mayweather (46-0, 26 KOs) announced last May that he�ll return Sept. 13 in Las Vegas against an undetermined opponent.That opponent has been determined.
Mayweather sees this fight as being a legendary one, filled with excitement and back and forth action from start to finish. Mayweather wants to entertain the fans, and that�s why he chose Maidana to fight again. With Maidana�s exciting fighting style, their September rematch is going to be to an exciting one for as long as it lasts.
Mayweather defeated Maidana by a 12 round majority decision last May while fighting his fight. The fight was one of Mayweather�s closer ones, although it really wasn�t all that close. Maidana appeared to win the first 3 rounds, but after that it was all Mayweather from rounds 4 through 12 with him having figured Maidana and adapting to his style.
