BET Hip Hop Awards
The BET Hip Hop Awards are an annual awards show, airing on BET, showcasing hip hop performers, producers and music video directors. The awards ceremony began in 2006 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia.The show has been taped the past four years at the Atlanta Civic Center and is set to be return the first Saturday of October. It’s always sold out and though it’s taped in advance, it runs very close to real time for attendees. The security is also incredibly tight. There seem to be almost as many guards as attendees.
